A few days ago, we returned home from our collaboration trip to Israel. Since then, we’ve begun to reflect and process the depth of what we experienced.
We had the privilege of standing alongside colleagues and learning, sharing, and strengthening our collective commitment to trauma-informed care and resilience. What we experienced was more than professional collaboration, it was a powerful reminder of the strength of community, the importance of connection, and the unwavering dedication so many have to advancing mental health care across the global Jewish community.
As circumstances shifted and uncertainty grew, we witnessed courage, adaptability, and extraordinary hospitality. We return home grateful for the relationships built, the lessons learned, and the opportunity to engage in this meaningful work together.
We are deeply grateful to UJA New York and the American Psychological Foundation (APF) for supporting our work both at home and during our time in Israel. We also want to thank Ohel Children’s Home and Family Services and The Jewish Board for joining us on this meaningful and collaborative trip.
During this difficult time, our hearts remain with everyone impacted. We hope for safety for all those in Israel and throughout the region.
