We have officially begun our JCMHI Trauma and Resilience Collaboration Trip to Israel 💙 In the wake of October 7 and the global rise in antisemitism, the Jewish Community Mental Health Initiative (JCMHI) at the American Psychological Foundation mobilized over 100 volunteer clinicians, researchers, and educators to respond with evidence-informed care rooted in Psychological First Aid, developed alongside leaders including the National Child Traumatic Stress Network and the NATAL Israel Trauma and Resiliency Center. Since then, we’ve facilitated over 2,000 support groups, continue to host 25+ weekly virtual groups, and conduct ongoing research on the psychological impact of antisemitism and on fostering resilience across the diaspora. This week, we are in Israel to listen, learn, collaborate, and strengthen the global network of Jewish mental health professionals committed to healing and resilience. We are here to deepen partnerships, share community based approaches developed across the diaspora, explore collaborative training and research, and build enduring professional relationships rooted in shared healing and hope. Follow along this week as we share reflections in real time and at the end of each day from this meaningful journey. Visit JCMHI.com to learn more about our work!✨ #JCMHI #mentalhealth
